So many people just like you and me are sitting around and trying to figure it out, How to get in shape, How to get the body that they long desire. Well did you know that most people are going about it all wrong?
It’s the same old story told time and time again. Someone takes a look into a mirror and feels horrible about themselves or maybe they’ve eaten a little too much desert and they begin to feel guilty. So instead of deciding to start a healthy new lifestyle that can change their life forever, they begin to tear themselves down and the starvation and misery begins.
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard “Well, I only eat one meal a day and I still can’t look like I want!” or maybe they have lost a couple of pounds only to gain it all back and then some because not eating was so miserable and they started up their old habits again.
Stop all the madness! Please!
What if I told you that you could eat all day long and get in the best shape of your life and stay that way? Well you can!
Studies have shown that eating smaller meals more often are a healthier and more effective way to lose weight and maintain a healthy looking and feeling physique. When you are continually eating small nutritious meals throughout the day you keep your cravings low, your stomach satisfied, and your metabolism level high.
The first step you need to do is figure out your daily nutritional intake needs; such as calories, protein, and carbs. If you don’t know how much of everything you need to consume you could be over eating or under eating and this can really make your goal an even bigger struggle and you may think that you are reaching your goal when really your not only loosing fat but muscle mass as well.
Secondly you need to figure out your body fat percentage so that you may can decide what your fat loss goal is and set a plan for yourself so that you can stay on track (This is very important because so many people say “Oh, well, I want to lose 10 lbs.” Well if you’re not clear on your body fat percentage than how can you know how much fat you actually have on your body and how much you need to be healthy and still be comfortable with yourself.) To put it into perspective would you go on a road trip without first knowing how long of a distance it is to your destination? Of course not! How would you know how long it’s going to take? How much food and water to bring? How long to take off of work? You wouldn’t. The same applies to loosing fat; You can’t plan on how much you need to lose without first knowing what you have on your body.
Thirdly set a schedule for yourself. At first it may seem difficult looking at all of the numbers and trying to figure out what are the right things to eat but after a little while it will be as easy as riding a bike. I suggest eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day. be sure to include any exercise that you do into your daily nutritional needs calculations and to space out your meals evenly and proportionally.
